Winter Solstice

Winter is nature’s way of inviting us to slow down, rest, and journey within. The Winter Solstice is the great stillness, when the axis of the Earth pauses, shifts and moves in the opposite direction. It is a perfect time of year to go within and explore ourselves, reflect and take stock. A time to contemplate what you are ready to release energetically and what seeds of intention you want to plant for your future.

Releasing energy that no longer serves you starts, very basically, with the intention to do so.

I am teaming up once again with nutritional therapist and good friend, Aisling Kirwan, to bring you this special event of celebration of endings & new beginnings on December 19th.

Our wish is for this day to facilitate and nurture the process of letting go and inviting in.

We invite you to rise early with us on the morning of Dec 19th, to welcome the light of the new day with a walk/hike. Return then to the cosy warmth of the Old School House in Aughrim for some gentle yoga to stretch out the body followed by a Yoga Nidra Meditation and optional reflection, releasing and intention setting.

Then enjoy being nourished by warm & delicious food prepared by Aisling.

This is a time of year when we can easily lose ourselves in the busyness & minding of others - let this day be a reminder of the importance of SELF CARE

Cozy Winter

"This is the solstice, the still point of the sun, its cusp and midnight, the year's threshold and unlocking, where the past lets go of and becomes the future; the place of caught breath, the door of a vanished house left ajar"

Margaret Atwood

Summer Solstice

The Summer Solstice is the day in the year that has the longest amount of sunlight, the time of year when the sun reaches it's peak and completes it's cycle of growth. It is the day we mark as the start of summer in the Northern Hemisphere. This is a time to celebrate the sun and all of it's energy and power.

This year I'm hosting two separate events. You can join one or both if you wish

Event 1 - Summer Solstice
Reflection & Yoga Nidra

✨Journaling and Yoga Nidra ✨

The Summer Solstice is a wonderful time to practice self reflection. On the eve of this years summer solstice set aside some time to contemplate your own inner world, your inner fire and how it has served you these past few months, what peaks you have reached this season and what needs letting go now as the days start to get shorter once more.

Join me online (on zoom) for this class where we will contemplate, journal and practice a Summer Solstice themed Yoga Nidra. Yoga Nidra is a type of meditation where you lie back in savasana and are guided through breath and body awareness practices and through visualisations to help the body and mind come into a deep state of relaxation and awareness.

Date: Sunday June 20th

Time: 7-8pm

Where: Online on Zoom

Investment €10

Outdoors

During the summer months I run outdoor yoga classes and events. These seasonal events are gatherings where the focus is on wellbeing, self care and mindfulness.

We practice yoga in the fresh air on the grass surrounded by beautiful scenery. Depending on the event, we sometimes team up with others to provide healthy nutritious food. With the outdoor yoga and meditation and the delicious, nourishing food, people leave feeling relaxed and rejuvenated!
